Disasters rolling in!

To build and give form (birth) to a new house is absolutely amazing in the first place but... at a certain point, with almost no energy and resources left, reality does catch up and forces us to look behind the romantic gaze!

All the problems that starts piling up after the builders left the scene, all the mistakes made and various troubles left behind - suddenly makes you bitter when  - all on our own - looking back at all the bills you paid!

At the end of a massive project like this - we are clearly the victim of negligence and unprofessional workmanship.

To be solved soon:
Cellar Leaking: the cellar was damaged on its way here due to a crash under a nearby bridge. The responsible building constructor still had it placed in our house!

Saunawindows starts to burst: B+O architect, Johan Nieuwenhuis had forgotten our request for a special kind of window glass in the sauna. The glass should be safe and heat resistant!

Water coming up - through the concrete floor: the sealing and completion of the concrete foundation on the northside of the house is changed by the responsible building constructor Roelof Tippe and approved by the architect Pieter Brink B+O.

Pomp for sewerage-system brakes down: seems that the company Brink Vos who lay-out and constructed our wicker-field 'forgot' to assemble the pomp! We wonderd why we had continuous electric short-circuits when wastewater started to flow back in the house!

Boktor was found in some interior wood:
at the end if the track de builders were finishing off some details and decided to use some waste wood to imitate a beam.  Lateron a pile of sawdust turned up on the kitchen counter! The beam was detached and were to treat the pesticides ourselves with strong chemicals!
